Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026
We expect to update this policy after a lawyer's review, and we'll tell you before a change applies.
This Privacy Policy explains how Vital Antioxidants LLC, doing business as Genien ("Genien", "we", "us"), 1729 N First St. #21207, San Jose, CA 95112, United States, collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our website or use the Genien app. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. What we collect
- Account information: your email address, a password stored in hashed form by our sign-in provider, and the version and date of the terms you accepted.
- What you put into Genien: briefs, prompts, product links and the pages they point to, uploaded photos, video and audio, and the results. These can include the faces and voices of people you choose to include.
- Communications: messages you send us, such as support requests and legal notices.
- Payment information, once online checkout opens: handled by our payment processor; we receive only limited details, such as card brand, last four digits and billing country.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages and features used, timestamps and error data, collected automatically when you use the site or app.
- Information stored on your device: sign-in and preference data in your browser's local storage, and data YouTube may store when its player loads, as the section on cookies explains.
We collect this information from you, automatically from your device, from store pages you ask us to read, and from our providers.
2. Why we use it
To run Genien and generate what you ask for; to show and store results; to answer support requests; to keep accounts and the service secure and prevent abuse; to enforce our terms; to create de-identified learning data as described below; to improve Genien; to send service and legal messages; and to meet legal duties, including responding to lawful requests.
3. How Genien learns
We create de-identified learning data from product activity, from descriptions of your content such as its hook type and structure, and from results you give us. We use it to train, evaluate and improve Genien for all customers, as section 11 of the Terms of Service describes.
De-identified means it can't reasonably be linked to you or your brand. We keep it that way, we do not attempt to re-identify it, and we require the same of anyone who works with it. Your name, email, brand name, files and the words of your prompts are not part of it, and we don't use personal information to train large language models.
4. Who receives it
We share personal information only as described here. To run Genien we send the relevant data to these providers, which act for us:
- Supabase: Accounts, database and file storage
- Render: Application hosting
- Anthropic: Writing and planning, and checking frames, which means it sees your product photos and generated frames
- fal.ai: Generating images, clips, voices and music with the models you pick, such as Kling, Nano Banana, MiniMax and Lyria, and transcribing voice
- Google, through fal.ai and OpenRouter: Watching and listening to generated videos for the quality check
- Creatomate: Video assembly and end cards
- YouTube (Google): Plays the model makers' showcase videos on our home page and in one guide, as the section on cookies explains
Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy, linked on our Model providers page. We use providers' API services, not their consumer apps, and where a provider lets us choose, we use settings that keep your data from being used to train its models. Some models on the canvas are on hold and aren't available yet. If we open one from another provider, we'll add that provider here first.
We may also disclose information to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety and property of Genien, our users or others, to professional advisers under confidentiality, and to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, which will remain bound by this policy for information collected under it.
5. Cookies, local storage and YouTube
Genien doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The app uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.
Our home page and one guide show model makers' videos through YouTube's embedded player in privacy-enhanced mode. The player loads when that section comes into view. When it loads, Google receives information such as your IP address, browser details and the page address, and may store or read information on your device using cookies or similar technologies. Google says that views in privacy-enhanced mode are not used to personalize advertising shown to you outside our site. Our site uses YouTube API Services: Google handles this information under the Google Privacy Policy, and use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Tracking across sites. Apart from YouTube's player, we don't allow other parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use Genien.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't track you across other websites. When your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we show still images that link to YouTube instead of loading YouTube's player.
6. Faces and voices
When you add a photo, video or voice of a real person, for example to make an avatar or lip sync, you confirm that you have that person's documented consent, as our Acceptable Use Policy describes. The material goes only to the provider you choose, is kept in your project until you delete it, and is used only to make the output you ask for. We don't use faces or voices to identify anyone, and they are never part of learning data.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete projects and files at any time. Closing your account in Settings deletes your projects, files, videos, activity records and sign-in from Genien's systems at once, except what the law requires us to keep. Backups age out within 30 days. Copies that providers made while doing the work are deleted under their own retention schedules, which their policies on our Model providers page describe. De-identified learning data stays, because it can't be traced to you.
8. Your choices and rights
You can see and delete your projects and files in the app, and download a copy of your data in Settings. You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information by writing to hello@genien.ai; we'll confirm the request comes from your account email. Residents of California and other states may have additional rights under their state laws, and we won't treat you differently for using them. If we decline a request, reply to our answer and a person will review it again.
9. Children
Genien is for adults using it for business. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to hello@genien.ai and we will delete it. Don't upload photos, video or voices of anyone under 18.
10. Security
We protect your account with access controls and encrypted connections. Your uploads and generated videos are stored at long, hard-to-guess links, because the AI providers need to fetch them: anyone who has a link can open the file, so don't upload anything confidential. No service is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
11. Where Genien is offered
Genien is offered to users in the United States. We store and process information in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. We don't currently offer Genien in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
12. Changes and contact
We'll post changes here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and we won't use personal information already collected in a materially different way without your consent.
