API
The Genien API is in early access.
It isn't public yet. Everything the app does already runs as server steps, from reading a product to the final edit, and we'll open them to a few teams first, so we can support each one properly.
What it's for
For teams who make ads at volume and want Genien inside their own tools.
Agencies
A product profile and an ad pack for every client product, made from your own dashboard.
Platforms and stores
Turn a product page into ad concepts and videos where your merchants already work.
Media buyers
New hooks for the concepts that win, sent straight into your testing routine.
The planned shape
These calls follow the steps of the app. Names and fields may change before release.
- POST /v1/products{ "url": "https://yourstore.com/product" }
A product profile with questions to answer and a brief to approve
- POST /v1/ideas{ "product_id": "prd_…" }
Ranked ideas, each with its ad pattern and the reason for it
- POST /v1/ad-packs{ "product_id": "prd_…", "concepts": 6 }
Distinct concepts with hooks, copy, a static ad, file names and a test plan
- POST /v1/videos{ "idea_id": "ide_…", "ratio": "9:16" }
A price first, then a run: frames, clips, voice, edit and checks
- GET /v1/runs/{id}
Status, cost so far, the video report and file links
What it keeps from the app
A price before every run
The same rule as the canvas: a call that spends money will say how much first, and stop at the budget you set.
The same checks as the app
Two models will judge every clip and every word will go through the claims check, so API videos get the same report.
Events instead of polling
A call back when frames are ready to approve, when a video is done, and when a run needs your decision.
Every model on the canvas
Pick a model per step or let Genien choose one per shot, from the same list as the models page.
API use will follow the same Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy as the app, and the same providers will process the data, as the Privacy Policy lists. Prices will be the canvas prices.
